Hi Tim, There are a ton of plug-ins out there that are mostly accessible. that said, Avid's stock plug-ins are quite good. There are tons of people who use nothing other than the stock plug-ins in their dAWs. Most plug-in developers offer trial versions or trial licenses. You can certainly try
