Bryan, you need to use snapshot presets for total mix. The user
interface is totaly inaccessible. However, the menus are accessible, so
you can load and save. I saved like phantom power preset, some routing

I have the same problem on my machine running PT 10.01 on ML 10.8.1.

It might be obvious, but here are a few things to make sure.
The track you're working on as well as the timeline is selected.
Sometimes I found unselecting/reselecting the track and making the
timeline selection again help.
Also, make sure you're selecting the right materials like
they can click a button, type a value and be done. In neither
version is the numeric value visible. Surely, it'll be fixed in 11 at some
point but I doubt it'll be addressed in 10.

automation record, everything is set up correctly.

Few more things to ask to make sure.
Do you happen to be working inside edit window with mix window closed? If you
press vo+f2 twice and open the window chooser, do you see both mix and edit

middle since you can hear the alert tone. I need some log from you.
Open Keyboard Maestro, and check edit if it's not checked. Edit is near
the end of the Window.
Go find macro groups scroll area and interact with it.

some things. For all double taps, the output is false, that's the expected

Change the macro to ignore result, and see if the double tap gives you any

keyboard, and see if Voiceover says mouse on or mouse off? If it doesn't
work, most likely Flo Tools is not installed correctly.
Also if you're not using US English keyboard layout, you should change

It seems like you have the inspector on.
If you have the inspector on, you won't be able to type numbers because
they are shortcuts to check inserts.
Turn off the inspector with slash, make sure VO says inspector off.

My main DAW is Logic as Slau mentioned. I'm forced to use Logic because

1. Press vo+space on the text field before you tapping with t. Also make sure
Flo Tools inspector is off.
2. Go to View menu bar> main counter and make sure bars|beats is checked.

Other people might had different experience, but unfortunately El Capitan was
