We have received a number of questions/comments from you for our

Hi Eric,
Yes, our plan will be to provide URIs for referencing all content. We
hope to have that available soon.
In addition, we are also working on exposing as Web services the
functions available through the BioPortal GUI.
Let us know if you have any other questions or feedback on requirements
Hi Trish,
You can contact me regarding questions about this.
BioPortal provides an ontology library containing the different
release versions of ontologies, as submitted to us by the content
owners, but is not a content management system such as cvs. Different

I strongly agree with the several endorsements to make use of the

Hi Mark,
Are you the person to request updates of information currently displayed
on the site?
Also, can you provide more details on how the BioPortal will provide
versioning? Last I understood, there were no SVN capabilities with the
BioPortal - has that changed or did I misunderstand the
Mark,
I do think this is the right way to share and interlink ontologies.
We would certainly support the cross-linking from our activity sites,
as well as using them directly.
Looking at the interface, it is not clear to me ho best to reference

Let me emphasize that this is a pre-release version on the Web site.
There will be lots of changes between now and February 1.

Hi, Mark
Thanks so much for your suggestion.
Like Alan, I also registered as a user and had a very quick look at the

and the site's support for its availability and svn services.
I tried to submit a new ontology just
