On Windows XP (32 bit) the crt is installed into
C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC90.CRT

I still get the same error. I ran Sysinternals Procmon and it didn't
show much of anything.
btw, I am on a 64 bit machine with a Xeon CPU.

No item was added to the Start Menu. Glade-3.6 is still shown though.
