appcelerator anyone?

Has anyone played around with Appcelerator? http://doc.appcelerator.org/overview/index.html http://appcelerator.org/ Kind of mega but still a neat idea, especially how you can pass messages transparently from JavaScript to the server and back. Looks like the Python web backend is built on Pylons
