If you setup $home/apps and use sudo so check /root/ apps :)

This is common behavior for all Processing algs: outputs added using QGIS
random styling. You can easily fix it by assigning desired style for algorithm
output

You don’t have to run “make install” and simply run QGIS after “make” :
If you cd to QGIS_BUILD_DIR/output/bin/ and run ./qgis
