regarding to recent modifications in raster styling [0], I was wondering if
multiband grey is possible in QGIS.
I usually have topo maps in RGB. It is very handy to switch them to
grayscale styling so that vector overlays are well highlighted. I currently

I'm testing --configpath option in master and 1.8. Behaviour is different
(Windows):
- 1.8: using -- configpath option moves only profile (.qgis. gdal param,
etc). Qsettings stay in system location (registry for Windows)
- 1.9: using -- configpath moves profile + registry.
