It is possible to download paths from OpenStreetMap. The easiest way would
be use use overpass-turbo.eu. Here is a sample query to load all paths in
Montana. http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/R65. If the query is too large for

I don't know about QGIS, but OSM has a tool RapidID, developed by Facebook,

Let me make one suggestion to Jorge's overpass query. By using the
Overpass-Turbo Wizard search for shop=bakery or shop=supermarket in Zurich.
By adding in Zurich, the query will leave out objects in adjacent cities.

I have a new Fedora 28 system with QGIS 3.4 that can't seem to find python.
Both versions 2 and 3 of python are installed and being used by other
applications.
My guess is that I need to export a path variable for QGIS to find. Any
suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

I don't believe it's possible to get Google data. Which is one of the
reasons for the success of OSM.
For my curiosity, what Google data do you want that's not in OSM?

Here is the resources page [1] from our local QGIS user group. Second from
the bottom is Tile Server {XYZ} Basemap Import. If you open the python

quickmap plugin.
It worked perfectly on my Mac.

You should be able to filter your data by county. Once the filter is in

Thanks for the screen shots. Mine is the same except that I'm running
1.11.4 version of OGR. There doesn't seem to be any settings option that
would cause some of the raster options to be missing.
I feel like I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks for the help. I may just reinstall.

I use a garmin eTrex20. 600km is a long way. I would suggest bring along

The OpenStreetMap wiki [1] has a lot of information on tracking devices.
You may be able to find a device better suited to your needs there.

I didn't catch the HARN. And the 10348 and 10349 are both in meters. I'm
getting NAD83_HARN in feet which doesn't match the definition of 10349. And
10749 is in feet but not with HARN. So maybe it isn't in the table.
