I upgrade the qgis 2.2 to 2.4, on Ubuntu 12.04, but I use a lot the
openalyer plugin and in the 2.4 dont work. I chek the qgis webpage but cant
find any way to install the qgis 2.2. Can someone helpme to install the
qgis 2.2 o ubuntu?, of course on I need to finish a work for the nex monday

For better understanding, please insert the Operative System, architecture
(32-bit or 64-bit) and the type of installer (Osgeo4w installer or
Standalone version and their architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).
In Windows 7, 64-bit and with the 32-bit OsGeo4W installer, this option
seems to work.

Has anyone noticed a performance degradation between 2.2 and 2.4? We have run
the same query (Vector, Analysis, Point in Polygon) on 2.2 and 2.4 and found
2.2 much quicker than 2.4 (the 2.2 machine has less RAM and a slower processor
too)?

it's me but I'm sure the previous versions didn't - alternately I can't
find a setting anywhere to turn this behaviour off (I'm assuming I did in

We decided that for actions without an undo there needs to be a
confirmation. That's a common behaviour of most software.
Styling, filtering and assigning field widgets, etc. can be a lot of
work. If you accidentally delete the layer you better want a
confirmation to do so.

and features. Ctrl+D will remove a layer.

I have installed QGIS 2.2 Valmiera for my colleague Stephen. He was previously
using QGIS 1.8 and still has the version installed.
I installed QGIS Standalone installer v2.2 (64Bit). The install went through
with no problems but when we tried to open the program via Start>all programs>
Perhaps you should use 3857 as project srid, that is what the openlayers
plugin does when you add an openlayers layer, so perhaps it is needed for
proper reprojection.

We encounter a pb with Windows XP and the standalone installer
QGIS-OSGeo4W-2.2.0-1-Setup-x86.exe.
