I'm not sure I understood correctly.
Did the issue always occur using QGIS 3.34.6 or didn't it occur using
QGIS 3.34.6 until some weeks ago and then

since several weeks I can´t open existing .qgz files from inside an open QGIS instance
when they are located on a network drive. The error message that appears is "Unable
to unzip file: ..."

you wrote that the issue
To further clarify:
I transferred both .qgz files from a USB disk to the user's Documents
directory.
One opened, the other gav the "Unable to unzip file..." error.
So not a network or shared volume issue.
I did not know enough about Windows to try unzipping the .qgz file :-(

corrupt etc, or maybe locked or so), or the combi of the file + on a network
drive.
If you copy that same qgz file to your local disk, is QGIS then able to open
