One of the catches with the CF/IDE adapter is that the Qubide hardware
needs a bit of soldering.
Once that is done, the adapter works. My Aurora system is running off a
64Mb CF card currently.

Hi all.
Phoebus Dokos used to sell a Compact Flash reader that worked perfectly
with QubIDE. I (q-celt) was the european agent for them - they were
designed to fit into the floppy drive bay on a PC case, or a 5.25" bay

First of all, CompactFlash and PCMCIA are two separate things,
CompactFlash is the flash format and PCMCIA are the slots in notebooks

Not SD (Secure Digital), CF (CompactFlash) it is (same as with your
Spectrum hardware). CF cards
Thats a shame, we just got rid of a dozen or so of those PCMCIA compact
flash cards, only a few Mb each though.
They fetch quite a price on ebay hence the reason why they were
gotten rid of...
