Real-world scenario--that happened to one of my friends: a malicious
user sent huge amount of spam using e-mail address database stored on
a machine. This resulted in that machine's IP and domain name being
rejected by some big free e-mail service providers. Nothing unusual.

http://www.ckdhr.com/ckd/qmail-103.patch , but qmail still infor
"CNAME_lookup_failed_temporarily" when I send mail to hotmail.com's
email address.

The INSTALL FILE SAYS:
To create configure qmail
1. Create the qmail home directory:
# mkdir /var/qmail
2. Read INSTALL.ids. You must set up the qmail group and the qmail
users before compil
The main reason for this error is that you are not executing make from the
source root. When you invoke make, unless you specify otherwise, it will
look in the current working directory for its Makefile.

Does anyone have comments, recommendations, or warnings over the various
SMTP Auth patches available? I can't seem to find any hard information to
compare them.

There are several patches available, the best is, i think, the one lis

i was able to do it via vpopmail but i'm sure there is more "native" way:)
