and i still get the error message that the domain is not in the
rcpthosts file and i AM sending from one of the IPs above.
can you help me with this? inside my rcpthosts file is the
domains that i will accept to send mail, but it's looking at
address of where i'm sending it and not where it's from.

i couldn't find this in life with qmail...
how do you make it so that everything that is send to a subdomain,
(foo.bar.com) is sent to one user account (bob)?

I was wondering if there was a way that I can have SMTP do a database
lookup in order to find out where the mail should be delivered.

file. so is this to say where you can send to? do they have something
for address that can use the SMTP server? are they one in the same?
i put '.net' in the rcpthosts file and it sent fine.

inetd.conf and restarted it. also, when i try to send from my MUA using
my domain as the SMTP server it will only keep it in the Outbox and never
send it. any help would be great.
