Hi,
I've started to notice lots of failed imap attemps for nonexisting
accounts, so I guess it would be a good idea to setup fail2ban.
There is a nice guide available in the wiki (thanks!) :

A few questions before I try to put this in production:
My 2 cents:
I don't permanently ban ip addresses. I found that blocking them for a
day or two usually does the trick. Most of them are from failed smtp
authentications. On average I have about 200 to 300 addresses banned at

This is a CLAMAV problem -- one of their vendors (MBL) released a
pattern that essentially matches anything with a :// in it -- or any URL.

The solution I found to work quickest and easiest was to edit
/etc/clamav-unofficial-updates.conf (not at a computer right now, but if memory
serves me correctly it was named something close to that) and comment out the 3
lines corresponding to the mbl databases to load.
It was something like:
Hi,
I have a toaster box that was upgraded from COS4 to COS5. It had only one
domain and what I did was I symlinked the domain from the partition having
the COS4 installation:
# pwd
/home/vpopmail/domains
# ls -lah mydomain.dom
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 49 Apr 4 2012 mydomain.dom -
