Take it from someone who knows first hand. When I was paralyzed neck
down (wasn't long) I thought the same thing. All I wanted was to be able to take
care of myself. Now I can and all I want is to be able to live like I used
to be
A good wheelchair place should be able to get
after-market pads or make them. The place I used CARE, I hated the office
people, but the repair guys always did good jobs at getting my chairs to fit
right. They made brackets and pads to get my seating and switches just
right.
