Links may be more feature-rich, but I wouldn't say it was better. In my experience, lynx will render anything - it may not render it as you want, and obviously it doesn't frames, etc. BUT it keeps going. I have found links to be pretty good at crashing if you point it at a complicated page. > L

I had a look on my quadra 800 under linux, and found: /dev/cdrom -> /dev/sr0 /dev/sr0 -> /dev/scd0 So I guess my spouting earlier about /dev/sdx was castrated he-cows. Do you have any /dev/scd*? If not, maybe your cd hasn't been recognized??? It might also be worth trying booting off a ramdi

Hi, I have recently got OS8.0 for my quadra 800. However, it has developed an odd habit of "rebooting the desktop". After I have been using it for about five minutes, it starts to get tired, and if I do anything involving the finder (e.g open a folder), it tries to do it, then all my icons and
