If the old pipe had even a minute pin hole, It would draw air throught it and hence not pull up any fuel. Be careful with the new pipe that you have fitted. I am sure I read somewhere that the latest E10 fuel will affect it over time - I could be wrong but it's worth checking. Bob Craig >

As far as I aware (please correct me if I am wrong) there is no noise limit quoted for MOT test and it is not measured. I have heard of an Astra being failed because the exhaust was significantly noisier than other Astra. It would be difficult to do this with a kit car as it's unlikely testing

The easiest way would be to purchase a full XR2 and swap the full engine/suspension set up. You would be confident that you had the correct parts and it would save messing about trying to find indiviual parts. You could then break up the XR2 and you would recoup the cost easily. You wouls also
