The next issue of Quantum Mechanics, QM91 will be with you in time for
Stoneleigh. In order to achieve this, the LAST date for your words of

My 2+2 has a 1.6 CVH engine from an XR2. Intermittently it will stop and

there were many failures even in cars less than three years old. Does

I need a new set of plug leads for my 2+2. Does anyone know of a supplier
and the correct part number to order? The engine is from a Fiesta XR2
1600cc CVH.
Many thanks.

No response to my ad in Quantum Mechanics. I am trying to sell my very
special H4 GTX as I don't have room for that as well as my 2+2 and the tin

Sadly an ad will have to go on eBay or elsewhere at a silly price. Why does
nobody want such a lovely car? I wish I knew!

Good afternoon all,
The deadline for the next issue of Quantum Mechanics, QM89, is 17 October.
How about writing something about your car for the mag? Why did you decide
to buy a Quantum - or build one? Have you been on any interesting journeys?

It's the time again! Copy deadline for the next issue of Quantum Mechanics
is 11 July. I would really like to see a few articles in each issue about
things you have done and how you did them. Please have a think this week,
write up something nice (with pictures) next week and send it to me in go
and Motors on
YouTube to see previous work. Neil is hoping that this will increase
awareness of the cars and the club.
Hope that helps - more in the next issue of QM (I hope...)

Just had a call from Neil about his film, mentioned at our AGM. He is
proposing to drive to Dover during the day of 14 August for an evening
sailing. He is thinking of driving on the M40 and M25, stopping at various
service stations on the way and suggests it would be good to have a convoy.

This is my third attempt to post here, maybe this time it will work?

Hi Simon,
I did note your suggestion, but it sounded a bit dodgey! Plus I suspect
that I'd have a hard time finding a garage at both ends willing to let me

Another reason for looking for a car transporter flatbed van thing.
I've just looked on ebay like Andy suggested, found a company based in
Harlow which just down the road... cheers!

That was my original plan, however I'm trying to cover all the possible
outcomes. If the car should fail its MOT and turn out to be something that
isn't easily fixed, then I'd be stuck with a costly train ticket back home
and the prospect of having to go back out to Bristol again at a later date
But the risk of being charged with driving an unsafe vehicle (lets face it,
they'll find something!) would result in a probable fine, points on the
license and also being excluded from the club's insurance scheme for having
a conviction. 160 miles is a lot of road to get caught on!

I've read that on a few forums, but I was under the assumption that the MOT
had to be within a reasonable distance?
I suspect there will be a few MOT failure points that I'd like to address
before I put it in for the MOT though. (Headlight alignment is the usual
sticking point).

Hi all,
At some point I'm going to have to get my 2+2 from Bristol out to where I
live now in Bishop's Stortford, it's going to need an MOT and tax so I
can't just take a train and then drive it back.
I've been considering hiring a car transporter and bring it back that way
(much preferred), or

Over a foot of snow here near Stansted - crazy. Tho the roads weren't
gritted they were still passable. I don't hold much confidence that I'll
be able to pull out of the carpark though

I had the same problem with a cat in my old work carpark... I solved the

Is this a recent thing? The DVLA didn't bat an eyelid when I changed the
