Mondeo master servo but this involves cutting welding the servo

Trying to recommision my newly aquired Quantum and the master cylinder is
leaking. Having removed it, turns out its a late XR2 one that comes up as
around £330 on a brake parts site! Any ideas on if I can use an earlier
model or a good place to try and source one? £330 is obscene!

The earlier master cylinder is bigger and will hit the distributor cap
if the engine is also the later one.
The earlier cars had ecu controlled ignition (later dropped) on which
the distributor just had a pickup and the distributor cap so it was shorter.

Thanks Jim, The Haynes manual shows the master can be dismantled but you
have to lever a large plastic cover away and I'm damaging it trying to do
it. The outside of the master is quite rusty so ideally I'd replace but I'm
still going to try and dismantle if I can. Haynes say its the same on
