New to Qubes. Hope I can get it to work. Would love to be a part of the
community.
Laptop is System76 Oryx Pro
Core i7 7700 2.80 Ghz
If the system goes to sleep, when you try to wake it the display remains dark.
Otherwise, Qubes seems to work fine.

Are you sure? I am on Qubes 3.2 and have installed all updates, yet whenever I
boot up I still receive a warning about using Whonix

I don't think that is correct. Qubes 3.2 support is now gone, yes, but Qubes
3.2.1 support is not since 3.2.1 runs Whonix 14:

After reinstalling Qubes 4.0 without Whonix, I installed Whonix with :

I gave up and reinstalled Qubes 4.0 without Whonix/Anon then loaded the “Stable
version of Whonix 14” then recovered my Backed-up VMs that I wanted. Now it
works without error.

IMO buy a W520 and install a quad core ivy bridge CPU - 32GB RAM and you
can use open source and open cpu/ram hw init coreboot[1] firmware and
also me cleaner to nerf the ME. (disabling ME is impossible)
It is easy to find components to refurb it yourself with a new

Regarding your first question. The download did indeed fail because there
was not enough disk space on your qube. I've had the same problem
Next in my qubes learning is the creation of a HVM. I noticed a couple things
through the process and wanted to get comments on some of the hang-ups.
First step was to download an .iso into one of my AppVMs. During this process,
the AppVMs were failing downloads after a couple of minutes. I
Hi Chris,
Yes ive been used V4 for a long time and I literally had 0 problems while
using it as daily driver. I switched to 4.0.1 and the only problem i had as
of now was backing up qubes but this was code related and has been fixed
already. :)
Cheers!

Hello All,
Work said they will get me a new laptop and I would like to run Qubes V4 on it.
Can anyone recommend a current model? I'd like an i7 with lots of memory!
I had a look at the HCL but the models don't appear to be on the Dell site to
buy.
Many thanks for any help.

Chris
