Hello Dane,
I have Lenovo Legion Y530. I did not try installing Qubes yet, but want to.
Any information that could help this installation process that you may
gathered or compiled yourself would be much appreciated at this stage.
Thank you so much.

Hi Ed,
Thanks for your query. I am sure more people will eventually arrive to
these questions as more people may seek preserving security and privacy.
I also have a MacBook Pro as secondary, and wanted to explore this option.
My primary laptop is Lenovo LEGION Y530, and I am also currently int

I have tried to find the mac address of a USB modem by using the terminal (both
dom0 and sys-net) and the commands: “ipconfig”, “ipconfig -a”, “ifconfig”,
“ifconfig -a” and “ip link ls”, but none of them returns the mac address for
the USB modem.
So how can I find the mac address for the USB mo
This method didn’t change the result. The USB modem is still recognized by
Qubes OS as a USB storage device instead of a modem. All though it is
recognized as a modem by Tails 4.2.2 and by PartedMagic - both Linux live

And I have checked if I have written anything wrongly.

Hi all,
I've been having issues with making BCM43602 work and figured a sequence which
makes it working and working well - meaning it connects to both 2.4GHz & 5GHz
networks and is working at its full speed without any issue.
Here is what helped
In the last link I send, it says:

There are two ID numbers separated by colons 12d1 & 14dc
These are your two original ID numbers and you are going to need them later

Here it says that it should work well with kernel higher than 4.7:

I’m new to both Linux and Qubes OS. I have only experience with windows and

Hey, I am having the same issue as you are. I think this is due to an upgrade
of qubes-gui-agent-linux (https://github.com/QubesOS/qubes-gui-agent-linux).
I currently am trying to debug this issue. If you click 'ignore' and then try
and launch any app from that vm does it load?

this is unlikely to work, even with git installed.

Hi all,
I'm having a hard time installing "git" in dom0. After running "sudo dnf

etc., - no joy. I have also searched the website with the searc

I have noticed that the screen when booting often remains black until some of
the last code is loaded which is just before the GUI is loaded. Meaning that I
don’t see the black Lenovo boot-screen.
Is that normal behavior, or can it be caused by malicious code as I also wonder

Hi,
I used to work in a VirtualBox VM.
Now I got a new machine and on that occasion I started fresh with with
Qubes OS (like it so far).
I want to keep using the existing Virtualbox VM in Qubes.
Perhaps I'll start with a new Qubes VM from scratch later if that provides
any benefits,
but for now
