They are "apps" not "applets". They were installed using the App
Gallery not via the Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer

The SBR was connected to mysqeezebox.com late at night and also when
you press power on - so I can't see LMS plugins having any effect as SBR

Yes, "Wolfgangs MP3s" is an LMS on my NAS (my NAS is usually only awake
for about 6 hours from 5 pm to 10 pm).

The freeze problem is odd so at the moment you have to look around to
find any signs and consider anything that is not "normal".
When I asked to compare process tree in "ps" - I had hoped you would
compare CPU and memory usage of each process to see if any process has
started to behave oddly.
