It was just for a quick test. But with MySB it *always* stayed
powered-down.
But when connected to MySB, the problem can be reproduced every time.
It simply won't stay powered down on first try, no matter what I've
done before, if playing music, or beeing in stand-by.

The behavior is exactly like this:

So, an elegant option for 7.5.0 would be to turn the brightness up for

the minimum brightness after a certain amout of time.

This is nice, very nice!
Beeing a perfectionist, I would lower the grey gradient on the right
side a little. Not so overly bright, since it distracts from the clock
and makes the whole appearance uneven.
But still, good job. Miles away from the original design..

Running the latest 7.5 beta here, and cannot confirm this.
The radio correctly remembers the alarm volume. Never failed on this,

the alarm fired with the chosen volume.

te sure which setting broke it, but from now on I won't even
touch any of those settings on the web-interface. Too bad, because there
are certain alarm settings which cannot be entered in the radio itself,
like the snooze-duration, or the maximal playing time etc.
screensaver was switching 3 times, quite randomly.
I think I just settle this and hope for a better firmware. As things
look like at the moment, there is no logic to follow. Things just going
in unexpected directions. I'm using my mobile phone meanwhile.

I noticed that the radio is using the mysqueezebox.com server in
Vermont, VA - could this be because I'm using 7.51? Is it supposed to
be beta? Because the web-interface is still handled via
mysqueezebox.com and not test.mysqueezebox.com as with the betas
before.

A new firmware for the Radio?
I'm still on 7.51 Build 8697 from April 15th.
No update is offered for me so far. And there seem to be nothing new

Maybe the dimming bug isn't a bug, but a feature.
It lights up your bedroom so much, you don't even get to sleep. Thus,
no alarm is needed anymore ;-)

Even with the latest firmware 7.60 r9155 it's not fixed.
The dimming works for a small amout, but never reaches the maximum

Even in total dark, it stays at about 30% brightness or so.

Hi,
I tried to install a brand new SB Radio for a friend yesterday.
When switched on for the first time, there was no set-up screen, no
language selection, no network choice.
Instead, it tried to connect to mysqueezebox.com directly, and there was
no chance of interrupting this process.
