Do you have headphones plugged in? There is a bug, fixed in r8479, where
the alarm would not be correctly diverted to the speakers.

than a ΔV method? If so, how d

buying the ready made kit from agillis. It may cost a pound or so more

Tere is a bug where dimming when the Radio is in the off state doesn't
do the same thing as dimming when in the on state - maybe that is your
problem?:
