Even if you could, the Radio screen is quite small and would not render
such video in any real usable fashion.
I'll argue that it would be a perfect screen onto which to stream a
webcam.

not being illuminated, how can I do either of these
without turning on the Radio, which will result in blaring music?
Pushing the alarm button doesn't work, as far as I could tell.

why their QuickCam software wasn't working
when they install.
At least with the SqueezeBox devices, there will be the option to
self-host when the legacy support no longer sells new hardware. Logitech
is -still -a hardware company, not a services company.

, it does not require a
backup battery for that.
And you still may not get any alarm, unless your wireless and server
are both on backup as well, as these don't work reliably without network
connectivity.

happen, even if it is trying to retrieve the default alarm from the

It is becoming clear that the Alarm Clock marketing bullet got about
the same engineering attention as available in both red and black did.

for your patience while they work to resolve the issue.
The Radio was set to play KCRW Music and a local server. Many times,
the stream would appear to either:
* Rebuffer and not play at all (square icon showing)
* Rebuffer and not produce any sound (triangle icon showing)

The alarm is completely unreliable if your internet connection or
server is the least bit flaky. Backup alarms do not play, even in the
US, even with a local server.

You will need a local server to support the SqueezeBox, even with your
own music.

The URLs pretty much have to be downloaded from the server, burned in
the firmware, or downloaded from Logi's server. At least the first two
can be under your control if you're not tied to Logi's server.

Happens regularly for me, especially if I am sync-ed with one or more of
our other SBv3 and on radio. It might be caused by a temporary loss of
connectivity upstream of the wireless access point. The Radio doesn't
seem to know when to re-buffer a stream.

Any suggestions for URLs for those of us that run our own servers?
