I thought this forum was specifically for fanboys? I am proud to count
myself among their number ...

Hi RadioListener, you didn't say yet, what setting was deleted. Maybe
you take that piece of information and contact official support ?
If there is anyone with (at least a bit of) influence on the dev team,
then I guess it's the support, (hopefully) tracking errors and customer
satisfaction, due
I don't use a Radio, but I haven't had to re-enter any setting on my
Touch for over a year despite updating the firmware every couple of
days (I'm running a beta version of Squeezebox Server). Same goes for
my Boom and my SB3s. There is clearly something wrong if you are
getting repeated requests
Yes obviously something wrong with his Radio. I have done several
firmware updates and have not been prompted to re-enter any settings.

I've certainly had my issues with this radio, but I have not had to
re-enter any information after a software update. I've had my radio
since January fwiw.

This rant would suggest he is _trying_ to use mysqueezebox.com:
If you do an update and try to use the radio without some pc on the
network running squeezebox server, it becomes useless.
Except maybe for LINE IN.
Its redekulous to have to keep a PC running just to update the radio.
What a
If he keeps getting updates then he likely is switching between SBS and
MySB.
I can only suggest:
- stay on SBS, no need to switch
- stay on MySB, but no local music
- update SBS to 7.5.1, this Firmware should match MySB version (no
more update nags)
- ignore update as instructed in earlier
Here is the problem- When you do an update, the radio needs a PC running
squeezebox server to be up and running when the update finishes. If the
PC is not up and running, then the radio cannot connect to
mysqueezebox.com,
This is stupid because the radio had all the information it needed to

I could be wrong, but I'm won't be holding my breath for the OP logging
back in any time soon.
Yet another insulting thread that will probably run for far longer than
it should, only for the OP to never comment again.

IPhone go away you smell like a fanboy.
If the product behaved more like an OTA radio, then I would buy 6 for
my mother sisters nieces and nephews, all of whom are plagued by bad
reception or AM noise.

You programmers are morons. This device is supposed to be a radio with
music selections, a volume control, and an on/off switch. Its supposed
to sit on the table and work and not require any attention.
But every time you push an update, something breaks. Settings have to
be re-entered, logins,
Do us all a favor and return the device and buy your self an FM Radio.
You'll be better off and we don't have to listen to your insults.
Just some advice, if you want people to help then speak nicely.

If you hold down the home button when prompted for an update it'll avoid
you having to pull it down and bring you back to your homepage. Not
ideal, but perhaps better?
Also, unless you run the nightly SW builds, you should rarely be
prompted to do a firmware update. What version of the SW do
