Hi,
I have also noticed Radio reboot when using iPlayer App.
It only happens with the HD streams ( Radio 3 and Special Events).
Server Version: 7.5.2-r31632
Radio Firmware: 7.5.1-r9218
iPlayer Plugin v1.1.13
Not a big problem, I don't particularly need those channels.
However, what is worse
This is a known problem with firmware 7.5.1 r9218 - it should be fixed
in the next firmware update for Radio.
In the mean time, you may want to use wma streams for BBCiPlayer with
radio.

OK thanks Triode.
It seems OK so far on the normal AAC streams, I will just avoid
I seem to have exactly the same symptoms as the OP, across all four of
my SB Radios when using either the BBC iPlayer server plugin or applet
and listening live. If I listen to the BBC live via the Logitech BBC
App, I don't have the problem.
It appears that something within the AAC streams
I think the AAC decoder is not as solid as MP3 and WMA ones. The AAC
decoder in Radio and Touch were tweaked in the latest release mainly
for performance. Perhaps there are some other issues which cause
reboots/stops. However unless it can be reproduced - it is difficult
to solve.

Hi,
Sorry for not being clear. I'm using the BBC iPlayer Plugin for this
particular stream. Other streams don't seem to exhibit this behaviour
and occassionally it seems to be linked to some rebuffering before
'rebooting'.
I did have one Duet receiver that had a similiar problem (again using
Since you are using the plugin, then the plugin is not the cause of the
reboot the plugin sends AAC to the Radio or tells Radio to play a WMA
stream depending on your settings.
What format have you selected in your plugin Settings ? Both WMA and
AAC decoders have had problems in the past so it
Hi,
Thanks for the responses. I'm in the UK and only use SBS (the server
software). I am using the iPlayer app when this occurs - I couldn't
find the exact stream on the BBC app but might have a look or do a
search. I can't always reproduce it so I don't expect others to either
I was just
The reboot occurs on my SBradio when doing an internet radio search for
station KLHI in Hawaii. A reboot happens each time I click to play. I
am not using a local server and using the latest firmware version,
7.5.1.

mobileadam,
Are you using the BBc IPlayer plugin or the BBc Radio applet ?
Are you playing WMA or AAC streams ?
WayneBR,
This thread is only dealing with reboots when using the BBC iPlayer
plugin/applet (still not certain since nobody has confirmed one or
other) - you should start a separate
I'm only using 7.5.1 SBS but have found over the last couple of days
that one of the BBC streams through the iPlayer app (BBC Berkshire)
causes my Radio to reboot. It doesn't occur at a specific time,
sometimes 5 mins, other over an hour. The stream stops first, then the
network icon goes red and
The BBC iPlayer app is not developed by Logitech but by a 3rd party so
you have to provide more info to see if the problem can be reproduced
and so solved.
Are you in the UK ?
Is the radio connected to mysb.com or your own local SBS server ?
Assuming you are using the Applet (i.e. BBC Radio
Two other ideas based on experiences from 'this very old thread'
1) check to make sure the Radio's MAC address (as reported on SBS
Settings Information) matches the address on the sticker on the
Radio.
2) try a factory reset of the Radio.
i am also having weird connection issues. seems completely random, but
when i leave for work in the morning i have the radio on, but when i
get home from work it is off. i have no idea when it goes out. i also
have it cut out in the middle of the night when i am listening to the
radio wile going
under_score,
It is not clear that your problem is the same as the OP as you do not
seem to be experiencing reboot when playing a BBc station. You may be
better off starting a new thread which would enable your problem to be
addressed properly.
IIRC there have been a number of other thread about
sorry, didn't mean to hijack a thread...
it seemed similar enough to add to OP's thread. i am new to the site,
but usually read rather than post. i have been reading almost daily,
here only, but have not seen too many with closer symptoms than this
thread. i am not using bbc for the stream, i

To see if there is similarity you should post as much detail as
possible so that points of similarity / difference can be found such as
- what firmware version are you using ?
- what URL are you using ?
- Are you having the cut-out problem on different stations ? If it is
