Have you tried uninstalling spotify - reinstall?
hi - yep. still no good.
In fact it worked briefly yesterday and connected to SB Touch but it
was short lived!
I'm tempted to install an earlier version of Spotify and see if that
solves it...

You're putting the files in the correct locations. So it can only be a
problem with the dll. I'm using lame 3.98. The dll file should be in
the zip file.

On my install that folder doesn't exist. What files are in there?
The only dir I can see on mine is C:\Users\Paul\AppData\Roaming\Spotify
directory. In there
In \Program Files\spotify there's only one file: spotify.exe.redir
What version of Spotify do you have?

If using your server's local IP address as a favorite, your favorite
must be created on your own local SBS server NOT mysqueebox.com

Thank you so much! The problem was in fact that I had to open the
Squeezebox Server Web Control panel and switch the player to my own
computer!!! It was previously set to mysqueezebox.com. Who knows why.
I was doubting my sanity for awhile during this process.
Thank you all for your help, it is
I too can confirm that this procedure works - very nice apart from the
annoying adverts.
You also get track metadata.

Thanks for the replies. First off, I did not have Flash on my machine
(just Quicktime) but I installed it and copied the the files into the
Flash folder.
Still the icon remains blue (it tells me it is running on the local
host:8124/).
Tuning to my local IP simply yields connection is timed out.
Tou must unzip the zip packages and extract the appropriate files to the
appropriate folders/directories!
Use winzip or winrar - both are available by googling.

Went to mysqueezebox.com, click favorites and added my computers IP
address as a favorite. Easy.
As far as streaming free Spotify from my Window PC to the Squeezebox-
no luck.
I tried the IP address and also the IP address with :8124
Nada.
I started a new thread today to see if streaming is
I can comfirm that it's working
Put the 3 files in your spotify folder
Put the same 3 files i your flash folder, on my win7 x64 system it's
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
Now start spotify and play something and you shall see a blue icon in
the taskbar, the music is now in your PC speakers
I followed the directions (see below) to stream my new free Spotify
account to my Squeezebox. I am not having success following this last
part of these instructions- my radio cant find it.
.Now, you just need to tune in your stream from your Squeeze
Centre web control panel, in effect
You can't stream a free spotify account on your SBR, must be a premium user.
