Hey Ian,
I can't bring to mind any articles that would support you here, but I agree
with your sentiments (and Glenn & Rufus').

Hello again friends,
On Tuesday at rorosyd, I proposed that we change venues. We would like this
to be a consultative process, so we've created a github issue with a
run-down of some of the reasons we're looking to move and a proposed new
venue.

Hey Friends,
A couple of weeks ago, we sent out a survey about rorosyd. I'd like to
share the results with you. I gave a talk about some takeaways from the
survey, which I'm not going to go into here.

Hey there folks!

Thank you everyone who got behind that vision.

I have a Rode Lav mic which I plug into a zoom h4n and then sync the audio to
the camera audio in FCPX. Works like a charm. The H4N does auto levels so it's

Way back in the day I used ferret, which is a pure ruby implementation of
Lucene. I moved away from it because scaling was a real problem. It may be
a good tool for the job, though I'd be surprised if it was still

I don't know of any other options, other than maybe JRuby/Lucene.

Hey Ruby Friends,
You may know that I got to go off to RubyConf in Miami this year and talk

I did the wiki and then after some requests setup meetup as well. I'll worry
about the limits.
We've got a bunch of excited newbies coming along, and I'd love more of the old

It's (Sydney) hack night time again.
We're changing it up and doing a ruby dojo for this month's hack night, so
we'll be doing some coding problems in ruby (it's a lot more fun than it
sounds, I promise).
This is a great chance for beginners to come and pair and learn some things,

I'm a big fan of using config.ru to mount my rack apps next to my rails app
where it's useful as well.
I've only used it when taking a path and routing to that, so if need to work by
domain, then a separate unicorn instance is probably the go.
