better with a sprung saddle? I'm a little worried about the

For not much money or effort you can rig up either a rack or a bracket
that pulls the bag back from the saddle and positions it in a more
upright, accessible fashion. Whether sprung or un-sprung, tilting a
bag to an almost horizontal angle so it can be fixed to the seatpost
is asking for trouble.
Probably. But the Sunrace shifters also FEEL really cheap, as well as
not costing much. They probably are reliable and functional and
everything Rivbike says, but they don't feel particularly nice when
I've used them. So I can kind of see the appeal of the Silver/Paul
combo for some people.

I have had the same issue with bags (Carradice Barleys) on several
bikes with sprung saddles. I rectified the wearing on one by
attaching a Bagman bag support to the lower rails of the saddle. I
have heard some complaints from people about these either coming loose
or breaking the saddle rails

Brett--maybe just overinflate, deflate, check bead seating again and
reinflate. I've had a few pairs of Hetres and have not noticed this

My Red Hetres run a little lumpy. They have since new, and I've run
them on three different wheelsets. I've only used proper 650B tubes.
My Soma New Express tires on the same wheels with the same tubes are
nice and smooth.

The handlebar diameter is fine. You crank down on the clamp bolt and
the metal just wimps out and bends. You get it tight today, and then
shift it a few times over a couple weeks of use, and the metal has

There is a friction adjustment but it is not strong

I suggest you mark the lumps on the tires with a piece of tape or
something. Then take the tires off and install them on another wheel,
ideally one with a different rim type. (If you have just one 650B
wheelset, switch back to front.)
If the lumps are gone, great. It probably was a tire seating
