A couple of weeks ago I saw one of these parks outside my building at
the University of Virginia. It was pouring rain, I had no camera, and
needed to get going so I only stopped to drool for a moment . But it
was a beautiful bike. Same color. No model name painted anywhere,
same lovely head
That Herse: the Bike Coop here in ABQ estimates $50 to pack; I'll ballpark
$100 to ship and offer the bike for $2,650 shipped CONUS.
Inquire offlist for any details -- seriously interested parties only,
please.

They are very nice but just don't get used enough to warrant the walls
space they require. 44 mm SoCat SL (the more expensive, hole-drilled,
lighter model) wheelset, 622 mm. Black SRAM 9 sp rear disk cassette hub,
silver front DH D72 dynamo disk hub, 32 X 14 g spokes, five-bolt rotor
converter on
I must admit this appeals to me in a way the more recent (I would say
Mannerist) multiple top tube frames designed for the same purpose do not.
Guess that's what led me to the rSogn.

$7.50 of 3/4 aluminum strut and an hour of labor yields a very usable
support for the Camper. The SQR, even mounted as high as possible on the
long seatpost, drags the Camper on the wheel (a non-LF Nelson barely
clears); the support also allows a higher weight limit than the Carradice
sanctioned
Patrick:
You are a creative man of style! But wouldn't the Pletscher from
Rivendell ($34!) do the same job with the added bonus of providing yet
another place to lash on even more stuff? I realize it wouldn't have
been as much fun as figuring it all out, drilling the holes, etc.
Hey, if you got
Pletscher? What, and prevent me from re-inventing the wheel? Also, it's
expensive at over four times the cost, plus SH. But seriously, the real
reason is that why I didn't just keep the Tubus Logo rack formerly on the
Fargo: I've not found any rack that will clear fenders over 60+ mm tires --

On thought about rim temperature...if the temperature is going to
weaken the metal...it's going to more than feel hot on our
fingers...it's going to sear them. The rubber bits will melt first.
