As far as I can tell, there is no reason. My recollection from the Blug is that the frame was originally going to have a seattube angle incompatible with front derailers, but it didn't end up that way. The bicycle as shipped doesn't have one because no one spec'd it. Joe "stick shift" Bernard

Great story. I commute pretty regularly. I do it for the same reason you do, it really is fun. If circumstances cause me to drive to work several days in a row I start to realize that riding the bike isn't real 'convenient'. Driving is 'convenient' and a real drag. So there's a bit of a catch

Well I ride my bikes in winter and had no issues. Fenders keep most the gunk off. Wheels collected the vast majority of dirt so I would wipe down the wheels around the nipples once in awhile. Now put those winter photos, after all these 100'plus degree days we need cooling off :) AHH http:/
