My 100mm Technomic isn't cutting it with the new Albatross bars.
Any used 130 Tallux out there? 120mm might be okay as well.

Way to go, Leah! I'm a bicycle safety instructor and I teach Safe Routes to
School classes. Biking to school is great for kids for SO many reasons.

Good for you. Can both your sons make it up the 2 mile climb without
bailing?

Leah is totally The Cool Mom.
When I was a kid, I wanted to ride to and from school to avoid the bullies
in the back of the school bus. My mother invited me to select a safe route,
draw a map (school was three miles from home) and then, early one Sunday
morning she would follow behind me in
Hmm, how about posting a video for the other parents to see what it's like?

Joe: I just found what I need (I think) at ThorUSA, the folding bike

Awesome! My wife loves riding with our four daughters (two of them on the
back of her cargo bike) to Mass. It's similarly all down hill there, all up
hill back. I've taught them to "take the lane," riding in the right tire
spot of a car rather than as far over as they can. Much less stressful
My 9 year old can make it with only one stop for water over halfway up the
hill. My younger needs to stop and walk for a few blocks. But when the heat
goes away, I bet he can make it further. It's hard to do, even for me!

Really cool. We can change things, one person at a time.
Americans tend to be so overweight and, sadly, the kids are overweight, eat
poorly and don't exercise. what you're doing is exactly what we need. And
what a great way to start the day.

I have a NIB Nitto stem 130 c-c and a quill length of 150. I guess that
isn't tall enough.

I was eyeing the one Soma makes at one time but decided I didn't carry
heavy loads often enough to justify it:

liked the fork struts and lower horizontal bars for panniers. They even
have a fence to complete the Wald
Is the 150 the total quill length, or the amount above the minimum
insertion?

Prices include shipping in US. Add another $5 to ship elsewhere.
Non-smoking household with a dog. Pictures in order are here:

- MUSA large butternut shorts. Very Good Condition. Missing belt and one

- MUSA large blue knickers. Worn/Good
And I think we have a winner!
Thanks for the responses!

Mark, I rode it for a couple hours the morning before this post. It was moving
so well on the new tires that I was pondering drop bars and keeping it.
I have a sale pending, and assuming the deal is closed, I'm really going to
miss it.

Yes, you were wrong...You should not have gently defended your case. You
should have vigorously defended your case.
I usually wear a helmet, but I have zero tolerance for non-cyclists who
insist that all bike riders should wear a helmet. For kids, helmet use is
required under California law.
I think they are all 25.4, so you will need to use a shim if you have a
26.0 stem.

I had that problem early on with an Atlantis and a used MTB Campy rim
wheel. I switched to a machined sidewall rim and never had the problem
again. I was and am still using a headset mounted cable stop.

Thanks, All, for your kind words. I have also posted this to my Facebook
account, where it also drew an overwhelmingly positive response. That was,
until an uncle of mine noticed I was not wearing a helmet. I was stupid enough
to gently defend my case. When will I ever learn to just be quiet?
I'm with Mark, the proportions of your particular set-up…i.e. Black B-17
at that saddle height and the relationship of the Albatross bar height with
the Maxxis High Rollers and just dusty enough, man that looked perfect. I

Doug - all so true. I did point out two articles that - one written by a brain
surgeon as to why helmets aren't all that helpful. He hasn't responded. Another
friend of mine said she was "shocked" that I don't wear a helmet. She wanted to
know what kind of roads I travel. I said:
