You can easily get longer struts, as they are common with salsa, tubus, and other rack companies. Just don't use nitto struts, as they are slightly smaller. I had to use longer struts with Salsa Marrakesh, which has the mid-blade, low rider, rack mounts. I also had to use a long spacer (30 mm)

I rode the GAP-C last summer on a Hunqapillar. The C, while my favorite half, was pretty bumpy. If you want to do more adventure rides, I'd suggest the Appaloosa because you'll get the clearance for fatter tires and fenders. It will ride fine on pavement. Have fun on your trip!!! P.S., feel
