Hi Patrick -
I was presented with a similar problem when I got a new rear wheel for my

very tightly in the beefy dropouts of the Quickbeam. I got mine from

Not sure about New Mexico Patrick but there are two common species of Egrets

The Snowy and the Greater.
The greater are a bit smaller than the Great Blue Herons you are seeing.
It sounds like you saw a Snowy.

Can you provide a picture of the strutted mounting??? It seems the struts
would be very short. Or do you mount the strut to the rack like the strut

Looks like a great solution and it would seem to work if the fork brazeons
were below the rack mounting point, e.g., a BG rack on a fork with 165mm
brazeon spacing.
Is the 1st picture the MIT Atlantis?? If so, it clearly shows the

Bark brown looks great on a bike, and would accentuate the gold and cream
bat-wing decals nicely. +1 regarding no contrasting headtube.

Polarity only matters between the headlight and the taillight. So use the
red and blue wires to connect to the taillight. The taillight must be a
Supernova brand. Use the two black wires to connect to the hub dynamo.
