Okay I've already done a bunch of updating on the wee website - haven't put
this one up yet but I put the original Bombadil ride report from a year-ish
ago up! This is the "un-cut" version before whittling it down to fit within
google groups' maximum post size. Also allows for clicking to hi-re
Hello!
If you have a 53cm Susie or a 54cm Gus, can you please measure the headtube
length and let me know what it is?
I'm 5'11 and own a 56cm Susie 29'er which I use as my daily upright ride to

I know there have been several times it was mentioned but I don’t recall
seeing a catalog devoted to the Hillibikes.
I’m sure if it exists, it would contain some worthwhile information.
Can anyone confirm whether or not it was produced?
Thank you

I rode Bridgestones back in the day, starting with my first new mountain
bike, an MB-4. My local shop was a Bridgestone dealer so I saw all of
models come through over the years. I eventually purchased an RB-2 as well
and pined away over the XO-1. I loved the Bridgestone catalogs and

Hmm good idea Eric, I do have jasonmytail.com which is where the Rivendell
timeline project is in progress as well. It's a bare-bones website but I
can definitely have a ride report blog section! Something to do over the
holiday break perhaps. Thanks for the kind words Eric and Brendon!
On Sat,
Makes sense. Guess I will wait for my own beautiful bike. Haha.

You can, but Riv recently initiated a 10% "restocking fee" to discourage
that. That was back in August, so not sure that is still the case.

Hadn’t even thought of canceling my order… I guess it wouldn’t be putting
them out since it would sell quickly. Hmmm. Guess I’d have to be sure I
could cancel it!

I was really tempted to make you an offer, but wasn't positive I would land
a Gus! Let me know if you want to cancel your order and take this lovely
orange bike instead. :)
To answer a couple of questions that have come through:
- I have an 87.5 PBH. My saddle height is 75-76cm. My legs
Thanks for sharing, Jason. I always dig your pics and write-ups. Do you

Back in the day of rec.bicycles.tech, mid-90s, I saw a note about Grant
starting his own bike business. I'd like everything he'd done at
Bridgestone, had a beloved RB-1, and received one of his first catalogs.
Loved every bit of it. I'd been racing road and mountain bikes, and had

Hello!
TK – short for “to come” – is a publishing staple I learned about in my
computer magazine editing days. As you worked on a piece, you might
insert “TK” in place of a word, name, phrase, sentence, or paragraph as
a reminder to indicate you hadn’t forgotten anything, but you just

Another great ride report, Jason. You always manage to capture the magic of
