lot ♥️

Such a sweet ride. In the pantheon of so many great and beautiful
Rivendells, this one still stands out as something special.

Anyone have one of those Rivendell Rosco Baby frames (or bikes) that their
kid has outgrown, or that they're otherwise willing to part with?
I snoozed on it at the time, but now that our kid is one year old I'm
itchin' to take him out on bike rides. What better way to get a start with
bikes than o

I’m sure she’ll love it and then say, “Ah, now I understand your Riv-love.”

sorry for the thread hack... if you could stab again or perhaps another
double crankset quickbeamer could answer: what bottom bracket would this
run? I have a simple one running 48-18 and I have a nice skf 107 jis and
would like to move it over to my double 32/42-19/17 and unfortunately don't
I love this! I'm so happy for your friend, and for you getting to be the
person to put the pieces together..I know you enjoyed it immensely. Yayyy
happy good things! 🙂

To one of my best friends in all the world, it turns out! She had been
saying, “I want a bike like yours” but I didn’t know if she would really do
it. She has a carbon road bike and is a former triathlete, but she came to
the Rivendell conclusion on her own after watching my Instagram account

Joe, this is how I ended up with a SECOND Riv mixte. I had the same rack as
you on my raspberry bike, but it limited how much I could carry. So…I got
another whole Platypus! Now that one does hauling duty and the raspberry
one races around the countryside on club rides!
Glad you’re getting goo

Yes indeed. I was committed to the (supposedly lighter but not really) bag
support rack, but I keep running into situations where I could use more
room for stuff than I can fit between rack-top and saddle in that medium
Saddlesack. I need a pannier or two!*

Great to see that bike out and putting in work! I am probably going to end
up with a 32R on the Hillborne and 33R on the Bombadil; the usefulness of a
pannier rack just can't be beat.

George, I'll take a stab at answering this one for Bill.
He has a double crankset (2 gears), and some combination of double cogs
and/or freewheels in rear resulting in 4 gears out back.

Looks great to me. Those FacePlater stems are a work of art. Beautiful bike

Dave,
I have that bike, and those are my all time favorite tires. I never mated
the two, but I have had wider tires than that on my Quickbeam.

Bill - you say the Quickbeam is setup as "a 8-speed single speed," so I'm
assuming an IGH? If so, what kind? A Shimano Nexus 8? Also, again
assuming an IGH, how did you do the cable routing? I have a Surly 1x1 and
I've been fantasizing turning it into an IGH, but I'd have to change bars

Where are the streamers, bro!? Otherwise it looks great Joe. I looked at

Looks like a fun bike.
