Also keep in mind that the Ruffy-Tuffy (and maybe the Roly-Poly; not sure)
were made in both steel and kevlar beads, so make sure you're aware of what
you're buying. I think the steel bead Ruffy-Tuffy was sold (only?) on the

Clearing out some hats and offering these up as a set for *$75 shipped*.

Thanks Patrick. Glad to learn about SP hubs. It worked great on the
roading while I had it. I mislabelled the hub in the FS post and Richard
and I have resolved the matter.

The Cheviot on the Riv site was I believe Casey's bike, feature what are
known as the "wrong angle" boscomoose bars.
Somehow a small batch was done with more tilt than Riv had requested,
resulting in a better product for some people.
My wife has a pair of "normal" boscomoose on her

I agree with Ted on the problem of getting Ideal Cog Teeth & first cogs
being too small (11T & less) , but I believe a 46-36-26 triple with a wide
range Shimano HG-400 12-36 9 speed cassette (Deore RD-M591-SGS), 130mm OLD
Tiagra 4000 rear hub, and 650Bx38's gives me:
good gearing in my cruising
I thought the Ruffy Tuffys also had some kind of flat prevention
anti-puncture strip or casing built into them.
