Jason, I have used Pork Belly on 6 of my 8 RAGBRAI’s and heartily recommend
them. I also have heard very good things from users of Brancel, Alpaca
Adventure, and Brancel charters.
Pork Belly has a very large camp. Essentially its own self contained village!

Hi Bob, and welcome to town!
I have two recommendations for you if you are staying in/near town. They
are Kindred Cycles at approximately 25th and Smallman in The Strip district
(near downtown proper), and my LBS of choice is Thick Bikes on the
Southside on 15th near Carson.
There are others if

Andy, I saw them almost every day! Seemed to be a large team by the looks of
their support vehicle.

This must be an “all-rounder” bar for me. No single track anymore, but
anything else is fair game. My noodles have sufficed for everything so
far, but I’m looking at options. I like the out on the hoods position for

Hi Chris,
If I have Riv build it as a complete, then I am thinking Rich built Atlas
wheels, Albatross bars, Riv’s pick for the F&R derailleurs, the Sugino triple,
and downtube shifters. Eventually, when I can find the parts, I would move the
rear shifter up onto the bar with a Paul thumbie. I
Mike, feel free to PM me with any questions that I may, or may not, be able to
answer. A good resource is the RAGBRAI site itself (forums) where many first
timers ask for advice. On my first ride (2015), I read the responses to others
questions, and it helped a lot.

Hi Tim,
I remember that we didn’t get to ride in 2015 due to my groups timeline. Let’s

Hello Chris,
I am unable to join for the start of your C&O ride due to many schedule
conflicts and the arrival of granddaughter number 1!
I could make it down for your thursday night overnight and ride into
Cumberland, or just ride into you on friday and turn back with you into
Cumberland.

Great info, and advice Tim. I hadn’t thought of the bug spray, thanks.

I don’t know! It’s worth taking a look at, an would help to keep the initial
costs down. That will be something I will question the LBS about.
