Does anyone recall what Rivendell said the weight limit is for the
Platrack?
Should I keep the load limited to lightweight stuff?
Thanks,
John

I've had this trouble w/ a couple of Brooks saddles. If you remove the seat
post and hold it in your lap or on a table, it is a bit easier to slowly
tighten the bolt and gently force the rails to fit the seat post. I
tighten the seat post bolt first in the middle, and then at both ends of

Hi Mike,
You were right, P&S makes two different size racks.
I had emailed Matt how much clearance I needed over my front tire/fender,
but Matt must have been too busy & pre-occupied to mention rack sizes or to
remember to ask me about the details of my bike.
But in response to my last em
Thanks Mike, Matt did not say anything about different size racks in his
emails, but to make sure, I just sent him another email to ask if my tire
size was something I should have specified. I had told him before how much
clearance I needed from the fork to the top of my fenders.
Cheers,
John
Hi Dan,
Well, if the Pass & Stow fits over your Nitto Mini, I would think there
should be enough clearance over my tires & fenders.
Thanks,
John

Thanks Rene, this would certainly give me more than enough clearance.

Boy, it sure is a good thing I came back and reread your answer, 15" of
clearance from the axel just barely clears my fender.
After you answered, I was measuring from the eyelet on the fork, not the
axel as you had specified.
At least I hadn't pulled the trigger on the Pass & Stow rack yet.
Hi Michael, it works, but takes forever to pump up my 55mm tires. I leave
it at home and bring my full size Zefal pump.
If I remember right, conversion between Schrader & Presta is a matter of
just switching around the internals. I think I had to look this up on the
SKS website, I didn't get a
$175 and it doesn't even incorporate MIPS technology? This is just a
redesigned Giro Aeon helmet and almost as expensive as a POC helmet. If
helmet makers aren't going to incorporate new technologies to minimize
brain trauma, I wish they would at least sell helmets in brighter colors to

Hi John,
Thanks for your help, that's great news. That will give me plenty of
clearance!

Hi Minh, I was going to mount the Big Front rack just as shown in the Riv
video, but I would need more than 15 1/4" to clear my front fender.
Measuring the Nitto BF rack, I have a maximum of 14 7/8" from the lower
eyelet to the underside of the top of the rack.
Thanks,
John

Has there been any more news about these? A pair of HAB racks just might
solve my front rack problems.
Thanks,

Hi, Could anyone tell me what the maximum front tire/ fender clearance is
for the Pass & Stow rack?
I went to mount the Nitto Big Front rack on my 54cm Hunqapillar, and I
found I don't have enough room to clear my 55mm Big Bens and the fender.
I could just go with adding the PlatRack, but I'
