different which surprises me. I would have thought the smaller tire would have
less height so maybe I need to use my Cyprii for max clearance.

Though I have the 1cm clearance fender to tire, the stay eyelet nuts are still
only 2-3 mm from tire. The lock washer and flat washer on them take up about a

I recently installed H50 Honjos on the Bleriot with my Hetres, as you may
recall from an earlier post.
I have between what looks like 1-2cm clearance all around. Tightest are
under the sidepull brakes. That's the max I can get. Tires spin fine, no
rubbing. No rattling.

The VO rack came with the rubber coated ones. Too tight.
So I got a "14" size from LBS that looks like the Riv type with the thick
rubber strips on the inside.
When installed, the rack is solid. But if I looked down along the fork
blade (clamp is about 4 or so inches below fork crown) I could

Front rack feels rock solid when pulling on the rack.
But if I grab the rubber p clamps themselves, I can sorta slide them a bit
a few mm's. Is this just how P clamps are supposed to be?
Bolts are totally snugged up and forks under p clamps are lined with
bartape.

So, I have been looking at a lot of rack pics lately.
I see some racks have the straight bolt that directly mounts to fork crown
hole. And it also has struts that mount directly to fork barrel braze ons.
NITTO Mini, for example.

The blue is recommended if you have a Bleriot. Matches good!

UPDATE:
So I removed that twisty front fender, and, holding it out to look a it saw
that the stays were a little off center in the eyelets, as one stay was
further out to the side of fender than the other.
I loosened eyelets and re-centered the stays, attached to dropouts and
retightened stay ey
So... How do you keep the bag from sagging and collapsing when on the front
rack and empty?
Reason I as is that I put my Sackville bar sack on a front rack and it was
saggy. I know it's meant for a f15rack but looking to use it as a front rack
bag to free up handlebar space.
What's the secret
How'd you mount it? Does it really just magnetize to the frame?

I decided to use a Honjo L bracket with Sheldon fender nut, and the radius
and fenderlines are fine that way. The fender has 1mm clearance between it
and the brake when brake is centered and QR closed. So that works fine.
*Now two more minor issues:*

Makes me wonder why fender manufacturers design hardware that eats
tire-to-inside-of-fender clearance.
Pan head screws with the heads inside of fender, bolts on the outside would
be a great way to do it.

I already did it with the brakes centered and tensioned and QR closed and
no dice.
Holding the fender at brake height where it hits the brakes and then
lowering a mm to clear it then requires about 1/8" wedge for daruma to
close the gap.

On the other hand, that eyelet crimp on the arm doesn't look like you could
rotate the light around so much to make it rotate higher if needed, so the
Marks rack attachment would give you more freedom of rotation and...(blows
raspberry with finger on lips and eyes-crossed while tearing hair out)
I think that light mount is a piece of metal bolted onto the strut that
they offer, not a welded on light mount arm, like the Berthoud.

Anyone have a Pearl they can measure the *total rise* of, from bottom of
wedge to top of stem bolt?
I know there is 70mm rise above the max height line, But I want to see
overall length so I can be sure it will be down into the steerer deep
enough. Thanks!
