No fenders with the burts. There's decent clearance, but I wouldn't say enough
to safely run fenders over the knobby tires. I think switchbacks plus fenders
would be the ticket for the best all around set up. Hopefully I'll end up with
that set up eventually. In the meantime if fall starts
I'm so glad I didn't do this math when I bought mine. More importantly,
I'm glad my wife didn't. I love my Barlow Pass Extralights! At least I'm
putting a lot more miles on the bike than my truck these days.

Once a tire goes into the 60$+ range, it starts to hurt.
I will say that Compass has been very fair, even dropping their prices as the
euro and yen have changed, I think for their Schmidt stuff this year and also
their tires last year.
