Hi Y'all.
I have both a 53 and a 56 Atlantis (though the 53 may go up for sale soon).
My PBH is also 85-86.
Both actually fit well for me, but the 56 allows me to get bars higher more
conveniently.
I should add that they are both 2018 MIT, so slightly shorter reach!!
Best.

Welp. The 56 was a bit too big. It went back on the RBW site and sold
real quick. Thanks for all your help, made the decision SO much easier.
If anybody has a 53 Atlantis 650b frame or complete laying around, holler
at me!!!
Happy trails all.

Hi Alex
There was at least one run of MIT 650b 56 Atlantis, I have one. PBH 87.
They removed it from the current geo charts but you can find it here:

I do like the bigger bike feel, and almost feel like my Atlantis
My PBH is 80.6 and the 50cm was a great fit. I know it does not answer
your question, you can call Riv for their thoughts.

I have an 85 PBH and ride a 56 Waterford I am debating selling but not

Now to your question: Do you know if the 56 cm 650B is from Waterford or

Good to hear they've got production back up and running. I ordered my 650B

just curiosity.

Chris,
Dont quote me on this, but I had similar top tube concerns about moving from a
54 to 56 hunq. I wanted to keep top tube length the same. Will said that is the
same on those 2 models, yet the geo chart shows some difference. I also
inquired about standover and got a number a few cm shorte
Nice story Doug. Always enjoy these personal accounts of visits to Riv HQ.

Do you have the geo numbers for the 650B Hunqapillar handy and what size
frameset?
One of the things my experimenting has shown me is that I'm very sensitive
to effective top-tube length and the handling differences that different
length stems make. I have a bike with a 58cm ETT and the ste
I know you'd like to know what "it" is that is so different, but you're
never gonna confine it to one particular thing. Every frame is unique, even
those that are supposedly made "identical", they never are nor can be
exactly the same. Easier to just appreciate each as is.

I ordered my 56cm 650b Atlantis in October. Just got the update that Waterford
will be done with the frame on July 7 (9 months). Lng wait but I'm sure
it'll be worth it! So pumped!

I'm not sure how accurate the geo for the new 650b models on the website is. I
know there were some differences between the 650b hunq listed and actual
geometry. I reached out to will and a 650b hunq owner and both gave me numbers
that differed from those on the website.

Interesting. Mine is from '03 & the geo chart from an old flyer shows 45.5
cm chainstays. This chart is not as complete as the current on-line one
but what other dims it has are the same for the 58. I double checked the
chainstays on mine & they are 45.5 cm.
Not too likely that this would

Take a look at the current geo charts. The 650b 56 has different HTA and
rake, so different trail than the 58 700c. By this calculator with both
40mm tire width, the trail is 61 for the 650b and 68 for the 700c.

Man that silver on the Roadeo is great. Does it have a green tint to it
(I'm sorta color blind)?

I'm holding out hope that this means the market will soon be saturated with
"old," "outdated" non-650b Atlanti in my size (ahem, 56, ahem) for reasonable
prices!

raising the bottom bracket a cm or so does not create much of a problem in
my opinion. The braking situation is another matter, if you can't get
good leverage with the brake set up you choose then I would not do it.

I've got my 53cm Atlantis set up with 650B's and Paul Motos. After ALOT of

My reasons were more because I like the ride of larger wheels. Personally,

In my case it was not so dire nor malicious. I really wanted to try Hetres

Short of obtaining another frame, it was the choice.

Honestly, I don't get conversions like this. Canti posts add complication
to any conversion so that's one issue. Also, the original intent of 650b

At the tme it didn't even register, looked good, and he looked comfortable on

I've seen the LHT's with a similar wheel switch and they work well too.
