I have the Zeppelins on my Quickbeam. I manipulated: squeezed, squoze and pinched them to fit between the chainstays. They have about 6" of below-the-stay drop, but you could also end the fender right AT the stays, and spend your time rigging a bolt and mount. http://www.flickr.com/photos/philipwi

Thomas, You are correct that I bought the 48 mm fluted. In the rear they fit with about 1mm to spare between the chainstays. The 52 mm zeppelins would require bending to get them to fit in that location. They may fit between the seat stays and fork crown as is. -Mike Bellbrook, OH On Jun 26, 5:5

Hi, Ohio Mike! I presume you refer to the 48mm "fluted" fenders currently available from VO. http://www.velo-orange.com/vo48poflalfe.html Do you think the 52mm "zeppelin" fenders from VO would also fit on the bike? http://www.velo-orange.com/vopo52zefe70.html That is, do you think there's enou

Well, my Hillborne has been set up from the get-go with SKS fenders. Probably the 50. Don't remember now. Tires have mostly been the Schwalbe Marathon Supreme 40s. No problems at all with the fit of the tires under the fenders. Pretty sure I just used the stock front mounting but bent the hange

One last remark on my fenders: I think mine may have been 45s after all; VO had them on sale a while back. I think I was confusing these with the 35s on my Motobecane. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. To post to this group, se

Hi, Patrick. Love your Hillborne pictures. Is that a Hebie double kickstand mounted on it in one of the photos? Did it mount nicely to the kickstand plate? When you say 60s are wide, are you talking about the Berthoud stainless 60mm fenders in particular? With some fenders, I'd agree that 60mm wo

Regarding (3): I mounted the VO 48 mm aluminum fenders on a 60 cm Hillborne (700C) and had no problems. Width-wise they are a perfect fit. I am currently running 35.5 mm wide tires and could safely go to 40 without any clearance issues, maybe even wider. I just used the supplied hardware to mount t
