Seconding Al's recommendation for conti travel contacts. I tried them on the QB and liked them so much I put another set on the all-rounder as well. They're reasonably priced, easy to mount, tread pattern works great on both pavement and dirt, and they last a really long time. On Monday, Febr

Wow, thanks for the tip on the 29 buck Big Ones! Thats 10 bucks a tire cheaper than wire bead Big Apples! I have 29x2 Big Bens on my Hunq and I really like them. I used to do all kind of gravel grinders on my old Surly Ogre with 2.35 Big Apples and they were fantastic. For real off roading I

I've got Surly's new 29" Extraterrestrial on my Gen 1 Salsa Fargo. They are great! For those in the DC area, I did 30 miles of mostly singletrack in MoCo yesterday and loved it. https://ridewithgps.com/trips/13040638 The Schwalbe Big One are also really fun and very fast on pavement, but feel

Thunder Burts. If you want supple, you'll be amazed how supple they are if you get the no-protection version. I had no flatting issues until a year(ish?) in, when they got 5-6 flats in rapid succession. i figured they were done, so that's when I shifted the Racing Ralphs for more winter tread.

Bingo - those are exactly what you want. Make sure you get the liteskins: https://www.schwalbe.com/en/offroad-reader/thunder-burt.html P.S. if you go tubeless, you won't get (m)any flats, and they roll even better/softer! Brian Hanson Seattle, WA On Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 8:15:38 PM UT
