Rod,
NICE! I stopped into Old Spokes Home this past Saturday. No Island Line
trail for me this year. I was out riding the Quickbeam just a bit north
and east of that on the Missisquoi Valley trail and around Franklin. I
hope to get back next year.
CHEERS!

Don't think so. The mini-Abus is a serious deterrent. The U piece does not
rotate like the other brands. One has to cut both sides of the U bar to
free the bike. And the pits make removing wheels or adjusting the seat
almost impossible. If you put a pit-stopper in the stem bolt, they can't
Friday, I was looking for parking near the Museum of Craft and Design in
the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco and this Quickbeam was nice
enough to be holding a spot for me.

Hi Tom, that was probably me. I would love to ride anytime. I try to get
out everyday time permitting. Give me a call/text on my cellphone and lets
do it. My number is (310) 968-6910 and I live on the east side of Carmel
Creek Park.
Cheers, Bruce

That's really cool. I don't see many around here in San Diego. If I do see
a Riv occasionally but they kind of keep quiet and to themselves. Primarily
I see a lot of road/tri riders up and down the coast racing each other,
running stop signs and lights to keep their Strava times down. All the

Aw, I was hoping to see my orange Cheviot included in the sightings. Had a
great ride Saturday from the Richmond Bay area to Berkeley for lunch, then
around the Bay Trail. Such a beautiful day. We don't get to have rides like
that without generally starting off with a car trip, so really enjoy
This is easy to fix. Get pitlocks for the wheels, a piitstopper for the
bars and seat, a micro U-lock (Abus) for the frame. Total cost, less than
$200. Security = 100%. Nobody will get your bike.

That sounds pretty good and what I'm willing to do/carry but I'd say that's
65% security :p. If a thief wants your bike they're getting your bike.

Hello Bruce and valued member of the Smitham family.
I believe I see you from time to time on Carmel Valley Road between I5 and
the coast. I am usually returning from science park up in Torrey Pines (in
a car) where I now work after something of a career change. That's another
topic. I
