I think that having a powerful steering servo is only part of the solution. You also need a mechanism to handle the jolts and bumps without transmitting the shock to the servo (or gearmotor). I finally found something that worked pretty well for RocketMan. Check out this out RC Tank Combat post.

Yeah, I think mounting the marker and getting a reliable paint feed is the toughest part of building a tank. At the last battle, John was showing me how he mounted the marker in his Comet. It looked like a good idea. The marker is actually mounted at an angle. It looked like 30 degrees or so. T

I think that after the Hetzer's demise, T001 simply lost the will to evolve. The poor thing is lonely without its long time arch-adversary. Wow, that's quite a list of changes ! It's hard for me to imagine not having a TODO list for my tank. Maybe after 16 more years I'll get to that point.
