Joker,
10 degrees is max for elevate but you won't need that much. My
Cromwell maxes out at 7 degrees and I'm no slouch at the long distance
shooting. The key to long distance shooting is fine-adjustment. Your
mechanism should be able to increment in small amounts and smoothly

I would use a different "weapon" my tank has for taking out infantry -
"tracks". Got 2 and they dont get any close to the ground :-)
Just run em over.

recently scrapped all my old ideas (which kinda worked, but weren't
what i was looking for), and re-started with some new ideas. A quick
question: For battle, is the max elevation 10 degrees? I figure if
this is so, then full r

Awesome! Been looking for a resource like that. Thanks a lot for posting.
Also, looking for someone within a couple hundred miles of Charleston,
S.C. to
test things out with.

Download the PDF and you have all the angles you need to build the
M1A1 Abrams. If you have access to a large format printer, scale the
drawings to y
But how did you come up with the angle for what you did?

What thickness of aluminium do you use, Chrys? The turret of T055 is
made of alu (a chip pan) but it bends and tears when hit by
paintballs.

What I found really helpful was to make a sketchup model. I used a
couple of sketchup models to base it off of, but the big thing is that
you can break it down afterward to get dimensions. Once I finish mine
I'll have to upload the model, but here's good pics of the outside and
