Aaron, Ditto what Ray said... I think it's a LVD, LBCO... but could also be a connection cabling issue have them put a wrench on the terminals, have them loosen first, then retorque, don't just have them "tug test" them as if they are already welded it'll look like a good connection... Make

Totally sounds like Low voltage disconnect to me.  Many, Many times the generator does not start when it should or connect to the inverter.  I've had 2 systems recently, that both shut down, 1 had the LVD set really high, higher than the gen start, so that definitely didn't work.  The next one

[RE-wrenches] Conext SW Mystery

This is a strange one. I have a Schneider SW 4024 installed in a remote area of Colorado. Cold and high altitude. Since the fall every time my customer has gone out to her cabin she noticed that the inverter is off. She proceeded to turn the unit back on by pressing the button on the SW. There

Kris, It’s my understanding that this is a fairly common defect with thin framed 72 cell modules. I have noticed this convex shape mostly on modules in the 30-35mm range of frame thickness and have personally seen this with 72 cell modules from Canadian Solar, REC, Hanwha and Yingli. I have yet

If they were deformed with a tightened strap, it seems to me that every other module would be bowed in the opposite direction...this is not the case. Every frame is bowed up to the glass side including the one on the end that was installed glass side in for protection. I will check the glass

Kristopher OK great, well not great to me it is a shipping packaging issue, the cardboard gap is spacing out each module and they were tightened down untill one by one the frames came into contact and crushed them together, the reason one is opposite is because it was installed backwards from the

Module bent or glass warped OK Kristopher is the glass warped or is the frame bent, looking at the pic, there is cardboard spacing each module so there is a gap. If the binders are in the middle then that will bend one or more modules on each side, now to bend them all the way through that center

Jay Not sure what you are implying by this comment. I do not believe that glass is pre bowed by any glass manufacturer that I know of nor on purpose by a module manufacturer. Glass is manufactured shipped and stored flat on a pallet. How were the modules Shipped? If glass down with no packing

David, Wrenches I do not see anything talking about glass just the frame and even if they included glass 1 mm over 1m this is still out of that tolerance, to me it sounds like poor quality control or is internally considered acceptable. Jerry On Mon, Nov 18, 2019 at 7:04 AM David Katz wrote: >

Yes good thought Jay but it strikes me if we are trying to offset the results of anticipated bowing with crowning its time for a beefier frame or thicker glass. REC modules went with 2 cross bars in their frame when going to 72 cell. I’ve been observing frames get thinner over time - wondering
