Hey all, I know well the old adage - "If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is." I also know that I have seen numerous windmill scams. That said, I am doing some consulting for someone who wants to buy and install this Tesup windmill... Supposedly a 9 kW wind turbine for $999 https

With a 7.38 square foot swept area you can assume that they forgot the decimal point. At best, this is a 900 watt wind turbine, probably at 28 mph or higher. Looks like they are using the old Whisper 900 (h40) blade set as well so yeah, 900 watts. Install more solar instead! Roy Butler Four W

I've replaced a few Tesup wind turbine "controllers" with real Xantrex/Morningstar diversion load controllers + dump loads for remote, off grid folks. Vastly undersized power electronics, heat sinks, and terminal blocks, a fire waiting to happen. The turbine guts are crudely made, some work, others
